Your family's memories stay in your family. Kid Memory Capsule is built on a simple promise: your photos, voice recordings, drawings, and letters never leave your device. We do not have servers that store your personal memories. We do not sell your data. We do not run ads.
On your device (never transmitted to us):
All of the above is stored in your device's local storage and backed up only through your own iCloud Backup if you have it enabled. We never access, read, or transmit this data.
AI Letter Generation (limited, opt-in):
When you choose to use the AI letter writing feature, only the text prompt you type is sent to our AI proxy server to generate a letter. No photos, voice recordings, drawings, child names, or other personal data are transmitted. The generated letter is returned to your device and stored locally.
Subscription & Purchase Data:
Subscription management is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat. We receive only anonymized entitlement status (whether you have an active subscription) — no payment details, no credit card numbers.
Kid Memory Capsule is designed for parents and caregivers to preserve memories about their children. The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents use the app on their own devices to document their child's milestones. No child data is transmitted to our servers.
All memories are stored in your device's private application storage. They are included in your iCloud Backup if enabled, which is encrypted by Apple. We have no access to your iCloud Backup.
If you enable App Lock, biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. We never access or store your biometric data.
You can delete all your data at any time from within the app: Profile → Data & Storage → Delete all memories or Delete this child & all their data. Uninstalling the app will also remove all locally stored data.
We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
